We are committed to helping you bring year-round girls lacrosse to the Lawrence area.  Below are some ideas and information for developing your lacrosse game and programs:

1)      West Side Wild.  We are a spring youth lacrosse program that has a team at the 7th and 8th grade level, and plan to also start a 5th and 6th grade team.  We compete in the KCMGLA spring league.   Practices start in March.  Last season we ran practices on Wednesday and Saturday, and games on Sundays.  Practice locations are TBD and games traditionally are at Blue Valley North.  This alone is a wonderful way to get started on lacrosse.

2)      Summer Club/Travel.  There are a variety of programs in the KC area for summer girls lacrosse.  We are working on starting the first girls only program this summer, and will have more information soon on this.  Travel teams will go to tournaments in various places such as Colorado Springs, Chicago, etc. This is for girls that really want to focus on becoming elite players.

3)      Lawrence area High School lacrosse.  The city would love to have a program start in the Lawrence area.   Traditionally parents need to come together to form a club team.  We can help with this process.  This is a vital step for Lawrence to provide quality Lacrosse.

Currently Lawrence area girls have few options for High School ball.

4)      Individual instruction.  For players wanting immediate help we can provide drills and coaching.  Lacrosse is a sport a girl can improve on individually with a focused approach. We have some of the very best 8th / 9th graders in the city now that began lacrosse last spring and committed themselves to a regular program of drills.

5)      Follow up clinics.  MLK Day Clinic 1:00 - 3:30 at Sports Pavilion REGISTER HEREThere will be other clinics in the spring and summer that players will be invited to attend.
